Government Funded Training Programs

Government funding may be available towards some courses and programs offered by Phoenix Academy. Initiatives include:

Productivity Places Program
Traineeships

The Productivity Places Program (PPP)

This program is part of the Australian Government's Skilling Australia for the Future initiative. The program provides training opportunities to assist Australian workers and job seekers to develop the skills they need to be effective participants and contributors to the modern workforce.

PPP for Job Seekers
Training funded through the program can only be delivered to Job Seekers, who are defined as individuals who are:

not currently working and seeking (or intending to seek) paid employment or self-employment after completing the Qualification; or
registered with Job Services Australia; or
holders of a health care card - issued by Centrelink - that identifies the person as being in receipt of the Youth Allowance - Jobseeker; or
holders of a Job Services identification card - issued by Centrelink or by a Job Services Australia Provider - that includes a job seeker identification number.

PPP for Existing Workers
Training funded through the program can only be delivered to Existing Workers, who are defined as someone who, in any given week, worked for one hour or more for pay, profit, commission or payment in kind.

Traineeships

A traineeship is a formal training contract with an employer that leads to a recognised qualification. It allows you to spend your time in paid employment to increase your skills and knowledge and to use your newly acquired practical skills on the job and put them into practice.

Phoenix Academy has been allocated traineeship places for the following courses:
