Online Vocational Assessment

Phoenix Training uses the ACER Vocational Indicator, which is designed for individuals and/or educational/corporate organisations that need to determine a candidate’s capability in key areas: literacy; numeracy; mechanical reasoning; and abstract reasoning.

This aptitude test measures candidates’ abilities to understand information provided and to apply this information to realistic problems. The indicator focuses on skills deemed to be important for the study of a vocational qualification. Based on the assessment results, a personalised study package can be recommended to suit the client’s availability and goals.

Features

• A detailed alignment has been done for the Vocational Indicator tool to the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF) core skills: literacy (reading) and numeracy to indicator level. This alignment predicts a learner’s likely capacity to cope with training.
• Results which provide full individual reports are available immediately.
• VI offers multiple-choice questions using high resolution images and graphs in colour, which are engaging and relate to everyday life situations.
• Vocational Indicator is an online tool that can be accessed by remote desktop connection and candidates can take each module in 20 minutes.
